Son Marroig
A perfect day at Son Marroig yesterday with Suzanne and Wissam. The couple are now living in Los Angeles but met in Amsterdam some years ago. Wissam traveled over to the Dutch capital from the USA. Paramount Pictures are a reputable film studio for whom he works and he was sent for research into an upcoming production. After meeting some years ago at a party in Amsterdam by chance, the couple decided to marry.
After considering many locations in three cities, they decided eventually upon Mallorca. The couple had visited Mallorca several times over the years and thought the location and climate was a great compromise for everyone. Some accolade considering the places they have lived and visited over the years.
Son Marroig as a venue is a beautiful setting. Wedding celebrations which I have photographed here have always been a success. It’s located on the north coast and looks west across the sea. During the summer months you get a spectacular sunset as it disappears beyond the horizon and the Mediterranean Sea. The ceremonial place is built from white marble imported from Italy and makes for some exceptional photographs during a wedding. We’ve photographed here many times and the house and gardens make for an engaging portfolio of photographs to look back upon. Even more impressive though is the view from the terrace and ceremonial area. As the dusk light arrives, the landscape transforms into pastel shades. It looks spectacularly beautiful and the photographs are always appreciated.
The venue is host to many concerts throughout the summer season but if you manage to book this for your wedding day, it will truly remain with you for the rest of your life. It is a venue which is unmatched across the Balearics for the beauty and splendour it offers. A ride up there on your visit to Mallorca will be all you need, in persuading you to reserve. From all the venues we photograph across the Balearics, this one consistently delivers magical photographs which are difficult to surpass.
