Son Marroig
The first wedding of the season last week was at the spectacular venue Son Marroig near Deia on the north coast of Mallorca
All the wedding photographers on Mallorca love to photograph the venue Son Marroig. It is a spectacular venue. It was the home of an Austrian Archduke who lived on the island during the eighteenth century. The home is well preserved but the garden and terrace are where the weddings take place. Overlooking the Mediterranean there are areas dedicated to wedding ceremonies. Vistas which take in the mighty Tramuntana Mountains that reach down to the blue Mediterranean.
We were here to photograph a wedding party, families from Malaysia and Yorkshire, England. The couple are heading back to the UK after spending a week on Mallorca, and with their edit complete, will surely have happy memories of their wedding celebration on the island.
Son Marroig is simply a unique venue for the view you and your guests experience. Both the wedding ceremony area and the terrace at Son Marroig deliver the most beautiful sunsets. In these two photographs you have an example of what you could expect. Romantic in every way. You will need a wedding planner for this venue as everything has to be brought to the venue. Using a reputable planner with good working relationships with caterers is essential.
