Hotel Maricel
We are in full flow with our edit from yesterday’s wedding at the five star Hotel Maricel just ten minutes from Palma de Mallorca. In addition to the spectacular surroundings which make this hotel popular for weddings, the bridal preparations were also upstairs in the magnificent bedrooms which overlook the Mediterranean. When everything is in one location, it gives us time to capture as much as we possibly can during those hectic hours before the wedding ceremony.
The Hotel Maricel has a splendid side which faces the sea. On an evening you can sit in the open air gallery or veranda. Beyond the Roman columns you can stare out toward the Mediterranean. The wedding ceremonies are held on a separate terrace and can host small ceremonies of around fifty to sixty people. Anything larger would be hosted elsewhere in the hotel. I’ve only photographed ceremonies here so enquire if your wedding party is larger than sixty.
The architectural build on the other side of the road is modern and impressive. It is linked by a tunnel under the road and gives any photographer a good opportunity to use this environment to his or her advantage. Hosting a wedding within a hotel like the Hotel Maricel can save you the time and effort of organising outside caterers. Everything is in-house and will give you the peace of mind that they have undertaken these events time and time again. This of course comes at an additional cost. This can be offset against a wedding planner’s fees if you need someone to arrange everything.
Very popular with the Spanish Royal Family, you can be assured that Hotel Maricel is high end. Both location and service are exceptional.
