Son Berga
If you want an isolated wedding venue in the Mallorcan countryside with dramatic backdrops then consider Son Berga near Alaro.
The converted farmhouse with its courtyards and terraces could well be the perfect wedding venue for you. It sits alone amongst the dramatic rock faces which tower over and serve as an incredible backdrop for photographers fortunate enough to be commissioned to photograph here. If the weather is not so good on your wedding day, then this venue has a perfect Plan B. It will serve you equally well from the outside courtyard which is used on warm days.
As the weather was not so warm for this wedding and there was a chance of rain, the reception was held inside, a converted outlying building. The whole room was candlelit with four huge banqueting tables. Although rain falls infrequently on the island, it can happen. Having a plan B at any venue you are considering, is essential. I have occasionally had disastrous dyas on the island due to rain. Ensure your venue has cover if it rains.
I have photographed many weddings here throughout the years. I particularly enjoy the remote location. As you gaze out over the orchards as the sun sets, you’ll feel you’ve chosen a very unique place for your wedding venue. This is one of two of my favourite wedding locations on the island. The peace and tranquility is sublime. The starry nights are beautiful. The landscape near Alaro Castle is the best on the island. If you are compiling a list of venues then put Son Berga at the top.
Son Berga can be contacted directly by searching for Son Berga through any search engine. The venue is family run and they speak many languages. All wedding co-ordination is managed by the owners.
