Cap Rocat Wedding
On the most easterly part of the sweeping Bay of Palma you will find the most impressive hotel of Cap Rocat. Here we had the opportunity to capture a really powerful portfolio of photographs for our customers for this Cap Rocat wedding. A converted nineteenth century fortress, it now offers luxurious accommodation for the visitor to the island who wants the very best from their stay.
The wedding began at the very impressive Sant Francesc Basilica in the heart of the Old Town. Two Catholic families from Ireland coming together on this impressive Mediterranean island. The Basilica is an impressive building with plenty of space to move around for any photographer working here. Full of ornate gold and silver, the church ceremony was photogenic and because it was a Catholic ceremony, the service gave us plenty of time to capture the atmosphere.
A fifteen minute drive down the motorway is the hotel and you really cannot find a more splendid place to photograph a wedding. The fortress has rooftop areas to watch the sun set beyond the Tramuntana mountains. The open courtyard near the main entrance is transformed for the wedding breakfast and the areas which surround the rooms are unique places to get the most incredible photographs of the couple.
If you are lucky enough to be staying here then the rooms are all en suite with just a couple of exceptions. The best of the accommodation have views looking toward Palma with their own pools to cool off. If you don’t have this then the swimming pool and spa area will do the job. The pool is part of the old moat which is now covered.
If you don’t feel the excitement here then take a look at their website. This will get your imagination racing. A great way to spend one night or several on Mallorca.
