Dutch Wedding
Our hotel in central Amsterdam was like stepping back in time. We stayed for several days while photographing a wedding in the Netherlands. It was managed by an Argentinian man who left Buenos Aries in 1956. He resided in Amsterdam for a couple of years before moving to Ibiza, where he lived before coming back to Amsterdam only a few years ago.
We have to say that one of the best aspects about being a destination wedding photographer is all the interesting people we get to meet along the way. This individual was no exception. He is a keen amateur photographer. We talked about cameras initially and then about his past and his nationality. He is Argentinian, but has not returned to his home country since he left in 1956. He then added that he had spent most of his years living in Ibiza, near San Antonio, coming back to his initial destination of Amsterdam from Ibiza only until very recently. We discussed the island and my relationship with it, photographing weddings. A lovely exchange.
The ability to move countries couldn’t be easier. The cost of travel is cheaper now than at any point in history. I suppose destination wedding photographers rely heavily on cheap travel and giving a good deal to customers. Long may it continue! We are competitive on price and we love to travel to the destination our customers choose for their special day so please feel free to drop in to our Palma office for a chat if you’re considering commissioning a photographer at your wedding.
Often our commissions take us to destinations around Europe. France, Ireland Montenegro, Spain, Britain and Italy have been very popular recently. In particular are the Balearic Islands. However, we would be pleased to show you our weddings in India and Israel also, which we photographed last year. Competitive rates even when flying long haul. Next year we are heading to the United States of America and Texas for our next international commission. Diverse portfolios thanks to all our wonderful customers choosing a destination wedding.
