San Mateu Wedding
In the north of Ibiza is the pretty little village of San Mateu. This was the location for a beautiful wedding set in a rural converted farmhouse with fifty guests. If you want a rustic wedding then this is a location well worth looking at. With open courtyards, terracotta tiled floors and large wooden doors, this is a photogenic place which is a favourite for both guests and photographers.
Ibiza has diversity to accommodate any feel for your wedding day. Not everyone wants to be close to the sea so this rural converted farmhouse close to San Mateu could be the location for you. It has an area for the ceremonial part of the wedding day but also a beautiful courtyard where the evening dining can take place. The other advantage to this location is it’s far removed from other people and although the licensing laws state that noise pollution is unacceptable after a certain hour, it can be lowered so no one is disturbed in the vicinity. With a wealth of beautiful backdrops it is a great place to photograph. Any photographer could capture a unique perspective and story for you here.
What really made this place for us was the natural surroundings in which the finca stood. The meadows, rich in wild flowers was a beautiful backdrop for photographs. Wait until the sun is low in the sky and the whole terrain radiates with warm pastel colours. With such clear light throughout the day, wedding photographers can maximize the day’s shoot outdoors.
