A Yorkshire Wedding
Although the Balearic wedding season is over until April, we are busy photographing English winter weddings. The light and atmosphere on a winter’s day can sometimes be very challenging if the weather is against you, but the quality of the camera sensors these days help enormously. We use all the latest equipment so with the daylight disappearing in the early afternoon, especially in Scotland, you have to be prepared to take the shoot indoors and that is not necessarily a bad thing.
People who want an English winter wedding appreciate a cosy atmosphere, candlelight, log fires and hot food. Although this shoot had torrential rain pouring down outside, we looked for every opportunity inside to shoot the bride and her guests. Not so easy with large groups but the small group photographs were great to capture in the intimate areas of this venue in Huddersfield, Yorkshire.
By the end of the day the bride and groom had a collection of photographs that both they and I were extremely happy with. The northern European countries can be extremely photogenic so we do not shy away from these types of commissions. We will be back in England again shortly, shooting for more wedding customers not only in March but also in August and December. If you need us back from our base in the Balearics, just drop us a line.
